At the Park with Auntie Karla (and Diego)!

On Thursday we took a trip to the park and had lunch with Karla...after taking a walk around, we decided to sit in the grass, and well, this is what Adrian thought of the grass

But we still managed to get some cute pictures too! :)

8 Months Old!!! a little late :)

Another month has flown by too fast yet again!!  Adrian is growing big and is on the move these days...from the time he wakes until he sleeps, he is constantly doing something and getting into all sorts of things.  Teething has been a battle lately though.  His bottom teeth were a piece of cake...I rarely had to give him anything for pain, but this top tooth thats coming in now has been a real pain in the mouth for him.  Around 6 months, he stopped crying in the car and would play with his toys, but lately he's gone back to crying in the car about half of the time we take a trip to the store or whereever it is we're going.

Adrian is 18 lbs now and he is super strong...he says dada, so now we're working on mama lol  He is a momma's boy through and through, but is doing much better at being held by more people than just me...he better get used to it haha :)  Tonight he started making a clapping gesture with his hands (one hand open, the other still in a fist...still a work in progress), and even though he can pretty much get anywhere he wants by scooting around, he has been taking more and more actually crawling steps each day (makes me so proud, and yet scared too haha) His smile lights up my world and I cherish every little giggle I can...It really is true that a parent can't express how much they love their children...I can't even begin to say how much I love my little man.  He is perfect in every way!

Underneath the changing table
First time to Chuck E. Cheese!!!

Learning to pull himself up to a standing position!  Yikes! :)
 Too cute for words!

My Minds Eye Challenge #23...

This one was a lot of work!!  Glad I finished it just in time!  I tried more stitching in this 2 page layout, and I think that it turned out so awesome (If I do say so myself)...The challenge was to create a layout using this sketch, you could uses any theme, but you have to use 80% My Mind's Eye stuff...

And here is what I came up with... (the right side is based on the sketch)  :)  The theme of my layout is "Explore, Discover, Grow"  These are pictures of Adrian from 5-6 months old...

I love how it turned out!!!

I used:
My Minds Eye paper collection Stella & Rose:
Mabel "So Sweet" Herringbone paper
Mabel "Play" Silly Stripe paper
Hazel "Special" Dotty Damask paper
Gertie "Delightful" Blossom Paper

Orange Stickles
DMC thread
2 Bazzill Basics Paper flowers
Making Memories "xoxo" and "love" charms
Buttons for the tree from the scrapbook store
and the butterfly body & white felt flowers were from Michaels

I hope I win!  Thanks MME for the opportunity to win!  I sure could use, and would love some more paper to play & create with :)

Mother's Day

Was more perfect than I could ever hope for!  Adrian let me sleep, only waking up once during the night, and I woke up with two happy guys :)  They got me flowers, a 2 hour massage gift card, and 3 cards which made me cry...Adrian even "signed" one for me.  We went to Ihop for a wonderful mother's day breakfast, which included Adrian climbing all over the table trying to grab every thing within his reach (nothing new lol).  I did let him try some orage juice and Manny let him have a sip of coke, both of which he liked.  We surprised my mom at work with some flowers Manny picked out, then headed over to his parent's house to surprise his mom with flowers, also which he picked out...he did a great job!  We spent the afternoon there, then went back over to my mom's house for more gifts from mom and Karla, glass photo coasters and a potted flowering cactus respectively, and pizza for dinner.  All-in-all, a great day.  What a wonderful feeling it is to be a mother!  I love my little boy so much.  He is truly a gift and I am so lucky!
