Pumpkin Patch...Having some fun with Ellie & Ethan

Today we went to the pumpkin patch and since I took pictures of Adrian in his costume last year there, I just had to do it again :)  I am so pleased with how his costume turned out...with pregnancy brain it was tough at times and the seam ripper became my best friend, but for having absolutely no pattern (except for the shoes), I think I did a pretty darn good job...I will make the kids' costumes for as long as they let me...it's fun to me and makes it a little more personal :)

After taking pictures in his costume, we changed him to normal clothes and our neighbors joined us at the patch (the only way I could get Adrian to smile for the pictures in his costume was to tell him that Ellie was coming LOL).  They had such a good time and there was a lot of fun things to do...they first rode on the swings which he giggled and smiled the whole time on.  Then they rode the ponies which he thought were pretty cool.  After that, they went to the petting zoo and he yelled that he was scared of the goats and chickens, all the while laughing and running around with Ellie.  Eventually they both petted the animals (minus the duck), but I think he was still suspicious of those "scary" goats LOL  They went over to the bounce house and the big blow up slide which he thought were both great, and then we finished up the fun with another pony ride.  All-in-all it was a great day and Adrian had a blast with his best friend Ellie :)

That's all folks!!

Pumpkin Carving Fun!!

Picture overload warning!!!

We had so much fun the other night carving pumpkins...but Adrian was even LESS interested in touching the pumpkin guts this year and refused to do it. haha  He did eventually think that it was okay to sit on our laps while we carved pumpkins though...and he thought they looked so cool when they were done :)

Adrian loved the Elmo and Thomas I carved for him (Thomas was a lot more work than I expected).  He was able to tell right away who each character was, so that must mean I did a good job haha

I am excited for the day that he'll want to join in and help pull the guts and try and carve his own pumpkin...he is so funny about his hands being dirty though, so it may be awhile before that happens haha

Thanks everyone for joining us to carve...I think this is a fun tradition that we've started :)
